Advanced Care Scripts (ACS), a CVS Health Company, manages and dispenses specialty medications and products nationwide. Our comprehensive patient care model provides compliance and adherence support and cost-effective solutions for all classes of specialty medications.

The Senior Manager, Patient Care Services is responsible for the management and strategic direction of the Patient Care Services department. This includes managing to defined guideline streamlining processes where appropriate, driving change to improve overall department results and ensuring that service targets and SLA requirements are met.

  • Develop and build leadership talent and capability within their teams and direct reports. Providing learning and development assignments to leaders
  • Proactively conducts operational trend and analytics with focus on metric & productivity management
  • Monitor effectiveness of department and direct process changes to increase efficiency, quality and financial profitability
  • Responsible for achieving targeted revenue and EBITDA goals through both new and organic growth for the Specialty Pharmacy (SP) platform within the Specialty Care Group (SCG)
  • Leads the operational activities of patient care services through the design, implementation, and evaluation of standard operating procedures, key performance indicators, service quality monitors, and alternative revenue sources
  • Responsible for establishing and executing a rigorous and disciplined framework to proactively deliver results
  • Executes on all client contractual key performance indicators
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to existing SP customers through a comprehensive understanding of their business and an ongoing consultative approach to managing the service relationship
  • Proactively creates strategies to exceed financial or operational goals and accountable for regular forecasting and meeting budget commitments
  • Supports business development goals by participating in client meetings, requests for proposal, or access solutions designs
  • Partners with other platform leaders (e.g. Brand Support Services, 3PL, Consigned Pharmacy) to identify and drive comprehensive service solutions across all SCG platforms
  • Leads and directs the Patient Care Services team, a team of Managers and Supervisors by providing ongoing coaching and training
  • Responsible for the staffing and performance of the team. Holds team accountable for standards and quality service delivery and regularly assesses talent and plans for succession. Builds a scalable operation prepared for growth
  • Enhances team staff accomplishments and competence by answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members and advising on strategy and analytics that promote maximum team effectiveness
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information as directed by leadership
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies to foster continued growth and knowledge of the Specialty Care Group industry
  • Responsible for providing employees with timely, candid and constructive feedback; developing employees to their full potential and providing challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments
  • Ensuring compliance of sales process and tracking metrics, goals and achievement of team

Required Qualifications
  • 5 years or more of management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field
  • Strong analytic skills and exceptional business acumen
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills and strong ability to collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers in a Windows/Microsoft Office environment, including Word, Excel and Power Point

  • High School Diploma or GED
