As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will play a key role within the Front Store Retail Pricing & Analytics team. The Senior Pricing Analyst is essential to ensuring that our pricing strategy is maintained consistently across our front store business in our 9700+ retail locations and

The Senior Pricing Analyst position is responsible for working cross functionally with the Pricing Team, Item Maintenance Team, Marketing Team and Category Management to continuously evaluate our pricing strategy and price position, and ensure that our item prices are aligned to our pricing strategy as well as individual category strategies.

The primary focus of this role will be to support the optimization and management of our omnichannel pricing strategy. Ensuring that this strategy reflects our most current business objectives and seamlessly integrates with our existing marketing vehicles for both and our retail locations is critical to the success of this role.

As a member of the Front Store Pricing Team, you will join a talented group of Pricing Analyst and Managers, focused on continuously evolving our pricing strategy, leveraging innovative tools and robust data to optimize our retail pricing and help support the growth of our overall business.

Additional responsibilities of the Senior Pricing Analyst include:

-Develop and support forward-thinking pricing strategies that optimize sales and margin

-Develop knowledge of customer shopping behaviors, category strategies, and key business drivers as input to pricing strategy

-Develop a deep understanding of category financial levers including sales, promotions, funding, and profitability as input to pricing strategy

-Continuously evaluate competitors and marketplace dynamics to assess the impact on CVS business and develop pricing strategy recommendations that support evolving business objectives in collaboration with the Pricing Manager and Category Manager

-Track key business metrics (e.g. sales, share, value perception, margin, competitive position, etc.) to continually evaluate, refine and implement price changes as necessary to maintain category pricing strategies

-Test pricing hypotheses, measure results, and develop strategy insights and implications

-Independently design and execute ad-hoc analytical exercises for components of pricing plans; identifying the appropriate sources of data, manipulating the data and synthesize facts and insights into concrete, actionable recommendations

-Contribute to internal pricing department and/or cross-functional projects that may include process improvement, technology development, marketing communications, store execution, etc.

Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in project leadership, business analysis, and strategy development in a retail, consulting, or consumer-packaged goods environment.
3+ years of experience in an analytical role providing strong quantitative, mathematical, interpersonal and communication skills.
2+ years using MS Word, Excel and Access, with experience in creating advanced Excel spreadsheets

Preferred Qualifications
Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to influence and negotiate with peers and cross functional partners.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive tasks to completion within deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in a fast paced environment.

Project leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives that have significant financial impact.

Knowledge of SQL

Bachelors degree in Business, Management Science,
Mathematics or Economics required, Masters degree a plus
