Job Description
As the Director of Pricing Strategy, you will play a key role within the Front Store Retail Pricing & Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading several key pricing initiatives to support the next generation of our Retail Strategy that will help CVS compete in digital world.

The primary focus of this role will be the optimization and management of our Omni channel pricing strategy. Ensuring that this strategy reflects our most current business objectives and seamlessly integrates with our existing marketing vehicles for CVS.com and our 9700+retail locations is critical to the success of this role.

You will be responsible for working cross functionally with other leaders from the Marketing, Digital, Loyalty & Personalization, Store Operations and Category Management teams to continuously evaluate and refine our pricing strategy– ensuring that we’re meeting the business objectives as well as the needs of the various stakeholders.

As a member of the Front Store Pricing Team, you will join a talented group of Pricing Associates, Analysts and Managers,focused on continuously evolving our pricing strategy, leveraging innovative tools and robust data to optimize our retail pricing and help support the growth of our overall business.

Additional responsibilities of the Director of Pricing Strategy include:
-Develop forward-thinking pricing strategies that optimize sales and margin and support initiatives including CVS.com, delivery,new markets, unique store clusters, personalization and more.

-Develop knowledge of customer shopping behaviors,customer segmentation, category strategies, and key business drivers as inputs to our pricing strategy

-Develop deep understanding of category financial levers including sales, markdowns, funding, and profitability as inputs to our pricing strategy.

-Continually evaluate competitors and marketplace dynamics to assess the impact on our business and develop related pricing strategy recommendations.

-Track key business metrics (e.g. Sales, share,value perception, margin, customer attributes, etc.) to continually evaluate and refine our pricing strategies

-Leverage a deep understanding of the business to establish and test pricing hypotheses, measure results, and develop pricing strategy insights and implications

-Present analyses and recommendations to merchandising leadership
-Partner with VPMMs and DMMsto understand business initiatives and related pricing implications. Anticipate marketplace events and develop what-if scenarios to address changing business dynamics.

-Lead and/or contribute to internal pricing department and/or cross-functional projects that may include process improvement,technology development, marketing communications, store execution, etc.




Required Qualifications
6+ years of experience in project leadership, business analysis, and strategy development in a retail, consulting, or consumer-packaged goods environment

4+ years of experience in an analytical role providing strong quantitative, mathematical, interpersonal and communication skills

3+ years using Excel and Access, with experience in creating advanced Excel spreadsheets

Strong project leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives that have significant financial impact.

Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive tasks to completion within deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in a fast paced environment.



Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Science, Mathematics or Economics required, Master’s degree a plus
