Job DescriptionAs a Quality Supervisor, you will fulfill the company purpose of helping people on their path to better health by driving quality execution of PBM functional area performance. Under the supervision of the Director or Manager of Quality Assurance, you will maintain an engaged, productive team through strong leadership, demonstrating initiative and leading by example.
The Quality department is responsible for monitoring the performance of individual business operations within the PBM that support all market segments (Commercial, Employer, Medicare, Medicaid, Mail Order and the Health Insurance Marketplace). Member Services Quality evaluates functional area performance using various techniques, standards and methodologies to validate compliance with government regulations and internal processes and procedures. The role of Quality in the organization is to detect, assess and reduce operational risk.
The primary job responsibilities include:-Developing and managing performance of all Quality Assurance direct reports, continuously coaching to provide ongoing feedback to drive continuous improvement and recognition to build a high performing team -Understanding data, technologies and systems in order to drive initiatives, make recommendations, and improve quality outcomes -Creating a positive work environment by acknowledging team contributions, soliciting input, managing meetings, and leading root cause analysis studies -Facilitating meetings and consulting with PBM business operations and shared resources regarding quality results, presenting analysis and recommendation to improve identified gaps -Thinking and acting analytically to achieve effective solutions, with attention to detail and ability to solve practical job related problems -Serving as a Quality Assurance SME to assist the team and managers with the preparation of thorough and persuasive data driven communications and presentations that will educate and influence a Senior Management and Executive audienceRequired Qualifications2+ years of supervisory experience managing team of at least 8 direct reports 1+ years of experience managing virtual teams 4+ years of professional work experience in one of the following areas: audit, compliance, quality, and/or process improvement 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Ability to travel up to 50% of timePreferred QualificationsAbility to set and manage performance targets consistently Demonstrates a passion for team building, developing and mentoring staff Demonstrates problem-solving ability and attention to detail while maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in manner that is clear, logical, consistent and professional Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with and influence peers and management Experience in Pharmacy Benefits Management or related industry (especially Medicare Part D, Medicaid, Mail Order, and/or Commercial and Exchanges)EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent in experienceBusiness Overview
