Job Description As the PBM Member Services OPS Business Analyst Reporting Manager you will lead a team of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) Member Services Reporting Business Analysts and, collaborate with a group of PBM business owners to create business requirements documents, feature acceptance criteria, solution designs, and User Acceptance Test plans. The BA's drive the Reporting OPS requirements gathering process that accurately reflects business reporting needs which includes: risk analysis, “as is” and “to be” process flow documentation, which will support the delivery of a specific technical reporting solution.
As the Manager of Business Analysts, you will recruit, retain, and manage a team of BA's. You will take on a lead role within the BA Community to drive to standardization of the PBM Intake Process / Triage for new request as well as requirements process flows, artifacts and associated reporting documentation. You’ll serve on the PBM Intake Steering Committee to help improve and clarify the business case for each request to allow for the proper assignment of Priorities and Ranking of request demand versus Resource Supplies. You will serve as a leader and mentor to your BA team. Your focus will on daily reporting request, large-scale project and PBM Reporting Initiatives. Our goal is to operate more proactively than reactively, anticipating issues and averting them before they occur through reporting and analytics. You will work closely with the PBM Business / Owners as well as partner with IT for the access and utilization of PBM Systems and Vendor data.
As Manager, you provide a guidance through BA’s career progressions and, responsible for effective stakeholder engagements. You will also partner with the Reporting Architecture and Development Team Managers to direct work assignments, influencing the balance of scope-budget-timelines, strategic planning and staffing, and demonstrating agile expertise with the functional-technical-operational and business data and systems knowledge to allow for the delivery of quality PBM Operations Reporting product deliverables . Inspire PBM Business delivery partners and stakeholders with a positive attitude, knowledgeable succinct understanding of the PBM LOB Business and, passionate pursuit of reporting request performance.
Manager responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, appraising performance, resource assignments, employee development, rewarding and disciplining, resolving problems, and communicating necessary information on an ongoing basis. Ability to work directly with Business Leadership to identify and resolve issues throughout all phases of report development Create an environment whereby the team can respond to ad-hoc queries for custom analyses of the data using methodologies consistent with core data products. Proven ability to analyze data and processes Ability to communicate with and interpret the operational requirements of our Business partner end-users Some experience in multiple technologies - SQL SERVER, Tableau, SSRS, and SSIS is a plus. This includes a good understanding and exposure to multiple RDBMS, as well as complex Sequel Report Development skills across a variety of DB platforms Handles difficult situations diplomatically Knowledge of the CMS Guidance. Review and sign off on the accuracy of the data reported when any changes are made to production reporting systems. Responsible for taking a senior role on tasks, as well as giving direction and mentoring when required to meet commitments. Maintain documentation for data processing and analytics Experience with a business intelligence or other business analytics software is a plus Able to adapt to changing PBM situations, understand SilverScript, EGWP, CD&A, Specialty, … platforms/applications, be a global thinker, and possess leadership skills. Must have an understanding of business process improvement, project management and quality practices. This position will require customer focus with operational expertise, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Required Qualifications * 5+ years of professional Business Analysis experience
* 3+ years management experience building and developing high-performing and highly engaged team within a business operations environment.
* This position is required to be onsite out our location in Scottsdale, AZ Preferred Qualifications * Deep experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) enterprise reporting products and associated business/vendor systems data. Emphasis on Specialty Pharmacy is a plus
* 3+ years technical experience in 1 or more reporting disciplines such as: SQL Server, SAS, Tableau
* Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
Education Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
