Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Advisor of Medical Specialty Analytics to develop advanced Novologix analytics that will
provide key insights to clients, leadership, product teams, marketing, sales, and key internal partners. This newly
created role requires strong expertise in medical claims data analysis, including analysis of specialty drug infusions and associated utilization management programs. You will build prototypes of analyses to solve complex issues, refine this work through feedback from subject matter experts, and work with partners within Enterprise Analytics to implement scalable client solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging healthcare analytics leader who wants to build new analytic
capabilities with high visibility to leadership. You will support deep substantive problem solving sessions with SMEs to explore and vet methodologies and key findings.
Leads the prototyping of new analyses, methodologies, dashboards, and reports that generate valuable insights for Novologix clients, product owners, account teams, and leadership.
You'll provide expertise in discussions with leadership and key partners in the development, prioritization, and communication of the Novologix Analytics roadmap. Collaboration will be required with stakeholders from sales, legal, product development, underwriting, information technology, enterprise analytics, client solutions, operations, account management, and senior management.
Provides technical leadership and collaborates with key partners within Enterprise Analytics and Information
Technology to scale-up analyses, reports, and dashboards from prototyping efforts. This includes driving forward
roadmap initiatives and providing subject matter expertise on medical claims, Novologix data, and analytic methodologies.
Required QualificationsMinimum of 5 years’ experience with medical and pharmacy claims data in support of healthcare reporting and analysis.
Minimum of 5 years querying medical and pharmacy claims datasets using SQL or SAS.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in identifying, assessing and resolving complex business problems/issues/risks and facilitating issue resolution and risk mitigation.
Minimum of 5 years' experience prototyping analyses, data gathering, requirements analysis, test case development, and results validation
Minimum of 2 years of experience building and facilitating presentations to various audiences: technical, non-technical and senior leaders
Preferred QualificationsExperience producing analyses in support of utilization and specialty drug management.
Experience working with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau and Microstrategy)
Demonstrated ability to influence and obtain consensus amongst stake holders. Including relationship management, effective team building, and the ability to work across business units within a complex organization
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications with business partners across multiple departments at various levels in an organization.
Ability to be successful within a climate of ambiguity
Strong personal organizational skills
EducationBA/BS in Mathematics/Statistics, Economics (or other quantitative disciplines);
Master’s degree preferred
