Job DescriptionCVS Health has an exciting opportunity in our new Midwest Distribution
Center in Kansas City, MO located in the Northland area near the KC airport!
Responsible for a variety of general warehouse and housekeeping duties.
Will be trained for 1 primary functional area (Machine Operator- Reach truck and Cherry Picker equipment) with the requirement to be cross trained in multiple functions. 1st shift (Monday-Friday) 6am-2pm. Will perform work until completion.
GENERAL SUMMARY for Reach Truck:
Responsible for the timely retrieval and put away of merchandise, trays/lids and empty/broken palets into designated warehouse locations.
· Perform preliminary safety check of assigned equipment prior to daily operation and
record/report any problems or defects to Supervisor.
>Must sign onto assignment(s) at the beginning of each shift and properly sign on and
off throughout the day. Most importantly you must log off at the end of your workday.
>Record on activity sheet item number, location and quantity of merchandise being
>Responsible for the timely retrieval and put away replenishment.
>Retrieve pallets listed on RF Unit from Random locations and deposit pallets correctly
or in designated staging area for daily replenishment.
>Remove empty pallets from racks with forklift and place in storage area.
Return fallen product to nonconforming product stray/orphan location; if damaged, send to Return/Damaged Goods location.
>Retrieve pallet(s) placed on Bulk Receiving floor and key into designated deep reserve
>Place pallet(s) properly into various storage location(s) utilized necessary power
>Notify Supervisor and Maintenance Department immediately if equipment and/or RF unit
become inoperable or of a safety issue.
>Perform required duties while operating equipment in a safe and reasonable manner.
>Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
>Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor/Management.
GENERAL SUMMARY for Chase Driver:
Responsible for the timely retrieval of full-case merchandise from Chase/Home locations and its dispatch to the PND locations.
Adhere to all safe operating practices, while all replenishment –
associated work units are completed accurately and on a timely basis.
Perform preliminary safety check of assigned equipment prior to daily operation and record/report problems or defects to Supervisor or Equipment Mechanic.
Process item movement from Reserve locations to pick locations, stack cases on pallets uniformly, secure with strapping tape, and place pallet in designated FL location.
Retrieve cases as listed on paper chase picking from pallet systematically, beginning
with the top tier until pallet is empty.
Note discrepancies encountered while retrieving merchandise; correct whenever possible and if not, call dispatch for another location with proper amount.
Retrieve product from Chase locations as directed through RF system. Confirm work has been completed.
>Remove empty pallets from racks as necessary.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Normal eyesight (regular or corrected)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Constant walking/standing, bending/reaching/stooping, climbing.
- Ability to frequently lift 20 to 45 pounds, and occasionally 45 to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work overtime on weekdays and weekends is a requirement when volume is heavy in order to service our stores.
- Ability to work in a seasonally warm or cool environment.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
