Job Description
To assist the Pharmacy Supervisor in covering open pharmacist shifts in the event of sick calls, vacations, or existing openings throughout the District. In addition, the Pharmacy Scheduler is responsible for performing a wide range of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization. This position will provide administrative support to a single district with direct support to the District Manager and Pharmacy Supervisor.

Job Duties:

  • Completes scheduling and payroll for all Pharmacists in the District on a weekly basis
  • Collects and maintain data from each store (vacations, time off requests, LOA's, etc.) in order to schedule Pharmacist coverage to fill all open shifts
  • Makes phone calls to arrange coverage for emergency shifts (due to illness, etc.)
  • Completes general clerical duties including photocopying, fax, and mailing
  • Tracks and collects requested information from stores
  • Creates and distributes professional correspondence to leaders, stores, colleagues, customers, and business partners
  • Schedules, prepares for, and supports District meetings
  • Makes travel arrangements and completes and submits expense reports
  • Retrieves, analyzes, organizes, and distributes operational reporting
  • Maintains calendars and schedules store visits, meetings and other appointments
  • Orders supplies for District offices and stores
  • Maintains electronic and hard copy filing system for business documents
  • Provides information by answering questions and responding to requests
  • Answers telephones and relays messages
Completes other duties as assigned by the District Manager or Pharmacy Supervisor

Required Qualifications
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the store and field teams
  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software including proficiency in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Excellent organization skills; knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures such as filing and record keeping
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to adapt to changing time lines and to handle multiple tasks and/or projects efficiently
  • Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team goals
  • No performance counseling documentation within the last 12 months

Preferred Qualifications

Previous pharmacy experience preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • General knowledge of FS and RX Operations
  • Ability to analyze reporting and report deficiencies

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
