Job Description
As a Clinical Support Pharmacy Technician you will perform a multitasked and varied role. From assisting the pharmacist and communicatingdirectly with patients over the telephone, scheduling medication deliveries,tracking lab data, billing, and prior authorization, among other duties. Musthave excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computerskills in order to interact with key stakeholders and patients. You willutilize your clinical knowledge and excellent customer service skills toprovide our patients with the smooth service and delivery of their medicationto their homes. Coram CVS/specialty infusion services is a national leader in the home infusionfield. You have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your PharmacyTechnician skills and experiences to work in a closed door practicesetting.

Key responsibilities:
* Assist the pharmacist in obtaining authorization for pharmacy services asrequested; validate insurance coverage and communication withpatients.
* Gather information for the initial admission of new patients and review allnew charts to ensure that all necessary nursing paperwork isincluded.
* Manage the schedule for patient deliveries, manage inventory, create andmaintain supply templates in the pharmacy computer data base.
* Document all supply management activities in the patient medicalrecord.
* Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and businessneeds.

There may be some fluctuations to this schedule so flexibility isessential.

Required Qualifications
Indiana Pharmacy Technician License Required

Must become CPhT within 6
months of hire required

At least 6 months of
previous Customer Service experience required.

Preferred Qualifications


Home Infusion Experience

Previous Pharmacy Technician Experience

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
