Join Fortune 7 CVS Health as a Java Oracle Application Development Advisor. As a Java Oracle Application Development Advisor you will be a technical leader for Clinical Benefits application technology at CVS Health. You will directly impact millions of people by ensuring that processes are efficient and help CVS Health to provide excellent claims processing technology to our benefits clients. By mentoring other developers on the team, you will recommend development activities, disseminate knowledge, and lead technical forums. You will establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and code using Java, J2EE, Websphere, RAD, and Oracle. You will also analyze project and application requirements, designing systems solutions enterprise-wide. By acting as a project owner for large team initiatives, you are accountable for application design and coding stacks and functions. You will analyze application performance and make process efficiency recommendations. This position will be located in Buffalo Grove, IL, Richardson, TX or Scottsdale, AZ.

As Java Oracle Application Development Advisor you will:

* Leveraging application design patterns to solve recurring development functions and collaborating with other engineers to develop integrated systems with common principles.
* Developing, testing, and refining development framework while identifying and researching new technology products and trends.
* Maintaining system designs and awareness of enterprise technology standards.
* Cultivating new coding languages, frameworks, tools, and practices while leading training sessions and writing technical user documentation to support this.
* Sponsoring new development tools and enhancements from concept to rollout, leading planning activities, and participating in annual road map reviews.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of overall application development experience including the following:

Minimum of 3 years Java application development experience
Minimum of 3 years Websphere and RAD experience

Minimum of 3 years relational database experience with Oracle

Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare or Insurance experience
5+ years experience working in an SDLC environment
RPG Experience a plus


Bachelors in Computer Science or
equivalent. Will accept one year of work experience for each year of
college not completed in addition to required years of experience
