Job Description
As a Category Advisor Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Profit and Loss for a category. Furthermore, you will develop and execute plans to deliver expected target financials, along with developing detailed analyses and reports identifying inputs, outputs and key factors to consider to evaluate category issues. Some other critical components of this role include identifying opportunities and challenges and adjusts plans accordingly to meet desired financial results, completing projects in a timely manner and on budget, and coordinating complex projects across four or more functional areas such as a launch plan. In this role, you will independently complete core category management activities, including, but not limited to, annual planogram resets, development of circular promotional plan, off shelf plan, direct mail plan, new product launch plans, annual budgeting, etc. Also you will develop strong joint business plans with suppliers and achieves targets or proactively builds plans to close gaps.

- Generates concrete new ideas and process improvements for the category and/or leads a team to generate new ideas
- Develops clear, persuasive business case to support ideas and gain approval/support
- Creates timely action plans and “makes it happen”; knows who to involve, what steps to take, and how, and takes action quickly
- Identifies potential barriers/risks to innovation plans and takes action to address them
- Drives tasks to completion within deadlines, using creative ways to meet tight timelines
- Creates an environment that encourages colleagues to explore, present new ideas and take risks

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a buying/category management role
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred
