Job Description Advanced Care Scripts (ACS), a CVS Health Company, manages and dispenses specialty medications and products nationwide. Our comprehensive patient care model provides compliance and adherence support and cost-effective solutions for all classes of specialty medications.
As a Clinical Registered Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the clinical operations of Advanced Care Scripts along with the execution of all clinical programs, initial and ongoing disease and therapy education to patients and adherence monitoring and interventions. Furthermore, you will perform telephonic initial assessment and counseling to new patient referrals on their disease process, prescribed drug action, common side effects and treatment parameters. Some other critical components of this role include providing patient education directly or in response to telephonic inquires to patients, adherence monitoring and outbound calls, and collaborates with physicians and their staff as needed to resolve clinical issues, obtain clinical data or prescriptions. Also you will provide weekend and after hour clinical support as needed.
- Provides patient education will include but will not limited to the following areas: Chronic disease states such as , Oncology,Asthma, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, Hepatitis C, Rheumatoid arthritis, and Psoriasis
- Responsible for clinical support to Patient Care Services Team in order to obtain authorizations from payers and assist in the completion of letters of medical necessity as requested
- Assists in the training of new clinical staff on specific chronic illnesses and treatment modalities
- Maintains nursing Continuing Education Units and seeks continuous learning opportunities
Required Qualifications - Current Active License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida
- 3 years of more experience working as a Registered Nurse
- At least 2 years or more experience working in a clinical, hospital setting
- Six or more months working in Microsoft windows applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications- Medical/Surgical experience is preferred - Excellent customer service skills
Education - Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college Business Overview
