Position Summary:


The Clinic Practice Manager’s role is a full time position, providing leadership to our NPs and PAs in clinical quality and business objectives on a district level. This position reports to the State Practice Manager (SPM), and will also be responsible for the administrative tasks associated with assisting the SPM. The Clinic Practice Manager will also work a predetermined number of shifts providing patient care in a clinic, which will vary upon number of clinics assigned to the manager’s district.

Operations

  • District-level execution of business metrics

  • Participates in On-Call procedures in conjunction with the SPM

  • Ensures state & local clinic documents are current and maintained in assigned sites

  • Monitors medication and supply stock, managing vaccine excursions and ordering supplies as needed

  • Manages the scheduling process for the assigned district, with accountability for coverage of all clinic hours of operation


Quality

  • Serves as a resource to clinic providers on all company and clinical policies and procedures

  • Ensures Joint Commission readiness in assigned district

  • Provides support for clinical guideline questions, following up with SPM regarding any quality concerns in district

  • Models the CVS Caremark/MinuteClinic culture and values


Administrative Accountability

  • Assists in recruiting efforts, including interviewing and hiring of new clinic providers, coordinating logistics of on-boarding and training

  • Serves as a mentor for new staff, coaching performance on in-clinic training

  • Hosts staff meetings within assigned district

  • Manages payroll, including CME hours, overtime, and paid time off for staff

  • Oversees budgetary needs by monitoring clinic inventory for district


Business Development

  • Develops and enhances connections within the local community, building awareness of company plans and initiatives

  • Performs “awareness rounds” at surrounding CVS stores without MinuteClinics

  • Ensures proper execution of in-store marketing campaigns, such as displays of permanent and promotional signage

  • Partners with CVS colleagues to support an effective One Store One Team environment

Required Qualifications:


  • 2-5 years experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse
  • Passion for the MinuteClinic concept
  • Previous management experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build morale and achieve consensus in individuals and teams
  • Outstanding organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Administrative and leadership abilities
  • Initiative, problem-solving, adaptability and flexibility

Education:


  • Masters degree & national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
