What We Do
Directly, and through our subsidiaries, Omnicare provides a broad array of pharmacy-related services to long term care facilities and to other customers in the health care environment. While senior care has long been an Omnicare specialty, we also serve other targeted populations.
Overview : Do you enjoy working in a dynamic and rapidly-changing environment? This position is a great opportunity for you to experience an such an environment; as an entry level billing specialist you will be primarily focused on generating accurate customer invoices by required deadlines. Billing Associate will spend the majority of the month reviewing reports and making updates to ensure transactions are billing properly.
In this role
You identify, monitor, scan and accurately distribute correspondence to various departments.
You maintain resource documentation and ensure it is updated accordingly.
You also maintain mail files, both electronic and paper.
You perform miscellaneous duties to support the office or departments, participate in various projects and/or meetings as designated by management.
You will work and partner with other internal and external departments to resolve issues.
You follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
You demonstrate Omnicare’s established Core Values.
You align with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
You may be required and/or expected to work overtime, holidays and weekends
Other duties as assigned.
Shift will be 12:30 to 9:30 Monday through Friday .
Required Qualifications-Registered with South Carolina Board of Pharmacy
-You have earned a High school diploma or its equivalent
-You effectively multi-task
-You are able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
-You Possess excellent verbal and written communication as well as listening skills
-Your computer skills are intermediate Preferred Qualifications-You are experienced in the healthcare industry
-Nationally Certified EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentBusiness Overview
