The Senior Financial Analyst position is focused on providing analytical support for Pharmacy Gross Margin. Position is responsible for budgeting, forecasting and monthly analysis for CVS Retail Pharmacy Gross Margin. Position interacts with Pharmacy Operations, Merchandising Department, Inventory Department and Managed Care Department. A strong understanding of Financial/Corporate Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting and accounting is required. Superior analytical and communication skills are equally important in this role, as this position will be interacting with senior management on a regular basis. This is a key role in providing senior management with the information it needs to make critical business decisions.

Job Description:
- Help support long-term financial strategic planning process and other strategic initiatives as requested
- Monitor financial performance of CVS pharmacy gross margin on a weekly and monthly basis, analyze variances between budgeted and actual results, understand the internal and external business trends driving performance, identify opportunities to impact key financial levers, and develop financial forecasts based on this knowledge
- Act as key liaison between Finance and various business units to ensure that financial forecasts align with most current business trends and market conditions
- Support the development of pharmacy gross margin budgets for CVS Retail
- Help support long-term financial strategic planning process and other strategic initiatives as requested
- Perform financial analysis that cuts across multiple business units, regions or the entire chain
- Provide analytical support for ad hoc analysis as requested by senior management and other functional business units

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years finance experience

Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years finance experience
- Knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Extensive knowledge of workstation software: Excel or spreadsheet, Word or document, Access or database, PowerPoint or graphics.
- Proven ability to perform well and with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and the proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Excellent analytical skills, communication skills with all levels, and the ability to work independently and as a team player
- Experience in Pharmacy retail industry a plus

Verifiable Bachelor's degree required. MBA strongly preferred
