Job Description As a Trade Relations Director, you will be involved in the development and the negotiation of specialty service strategies with pharmaceutical manufacturers for current and pipeline specialty products. Strategies will include procurement of products,distribution strategies, specialty services, such as data services, compliance and persistency programs and other performance services.
You will hold direct account responsibilities for established manufacturers. You will oversee development of manufacturer strategy, account relationship management, direct accountability for the cost of goods (COG) of the manufacturer, and improvement in the reduction of those COG throughout CVS Health. You will create new opportunities for specialty services to current and new manufacturers.
You will work with the pipeline team to establish new relationships and provide preliminary introductions,capability presentations and contract negotiations of new product launches. As part of the Trade organization, you will play a critical role for helping gain access to drugs through either broad or limited distribution arrangements and selling in value-added services that differentiate the company as a specialty pharmacy.
This position will be based in Northbrook, IL.
-Providing account management and negotiating directly with pharmaceutical manufacturers in the specialty arena.
-Securing access to limited distribution drugs and drive additional margin opportunities.
-Working with internal partners to ensure follow through of our pharma commitments.
-Partnering with legal and contracting to ensure successful contracting of our pharmacy services.
-Leading internal trade corporate initiatives that will drive value across specialty.
-Identifying new business opportunities to generate additional margin and collaborating with Specialty
-Underwriting team to ensure delivery of financial goals.
-Working with Specialty Trade Pipeline Team to collaborate with pipeline manufactures in order to establish relationships and gain access to new specialty pipeline products
Required Qualifications 10+ years in specialty pharmacy environment including:
-Familiarity with manufacturer discussions.
-Demonstrable success in leading multiple manufacturer relationships.
-Experience in business development area and/or experience with presenting in front of executive customer audiences. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time. Preferred Qualifications-5+ years experience in leading specialty/biologic manufacturer relationships.
-2+ years of complex contract negotiations and successful completion of contracts.
-Strategic vision and critical thinking capabilities.
-Ability to work in multiple locations across various business units.
-Experience balancing multiple priorities at one time. Education-Bachelor's degree or business experience equivalent required.
