Job DescriptionAs the Strategic Planning and Analysis Manager, you will manage a team that will work closely with HR, Finance, Operations and Resource Planning to create and maintain labor staffing models for long term forecasting. You will provide in-depth analysis of operational performance, and weekly/monthly reporting packages for distribution to management and senior leadership. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining statistical and other quantitative analysis methods to support development of efficient staffing plans.
The Strategic Planning and Analysis Manager will develop and maintain accurate labor forecasts to predict staffing needs under a variety of intake volumes, workloads, work activities, rates and other conditions using data/statistical analysis.
You will establish weekly and monthly reporting that measures forecast accuracy (forecasts vs actuals) based on volume, workload, efficiencies and other factors to ensure meaningful identification of variance drivers and impacts (both staffing and financial)
You will analyze data in order to conceptualize and define operational problems and/or improvement opportunities. You will plan and execute analysis by interrogating data and other information to perform root cause analysis and develop an impact assessment.
You will have a strong customer focus and will require shown success in problem solving, collaboration, flexibility, planning, decision-making, and data analysis. The Manager will facilitate discussion among process partners to analyze and communicate results (both written and verbal).
Other responsibilities include:
* Representing and explaining complex models, forecasting principals and performance results to Operations, Finance and other leadership.
* Mentoring and training analysts and other staff on standard methodologies for business and operational forecasting and analysis. Interpreting and making effective use of process performance data, presentations and general communications.
* Validating requirements for performance and ad hoc reporting. Required Qualifications 5+ years of labor planning, analysis and reporting which includes experience performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of existing operational processes based on in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
3+ years of experience leading, managing and developing a team of 3 or more individuals
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel).
Preferred Qualifications Healthcare or Pharmacy Benefit Management experience preferred Education Bachelors degree Business Overview
