The Store Systems Technology team is seeking a talented andcommitted Linux Engineer to assist with the design, implementation, and supportof a large-scale environment. You will be responsible for the effectiveprovisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware andsoftware related to Store Systems and supporting infrastructure. He or she willbe positively engaged in a variety of meaningful tasks aimed at driving storetechnology innovation forward. Some off-hours support is required.

Required Qualifications

- 5 or more years of
professional experience in retail architecture or store systems engineering
with 3 or more years of experience with Linux - particularly CentOS, RedHat,
and Ubuntu.

- Demonstrable
understanding of Linux infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, and HTTPD and
experience running databases such as Maria dB in a Linux server environment.

- Ability to quickly
learn a wide variety of open source tools and technologies with a real passion
for technology and team oriented attitude.

- BASH shell
scripting and systems administration experience on Dell, HP, and IBM/Lenovo

Preferred Qualifications

- Strong
documentation skills

- Ability to work
with business users, gain a deep understanding of their needs and translate
those needs into specific project work.

- Familiarity with
KVM, Docker, and Jenkins Pipeline.

- He or she will have
used and or managed: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or similar tools for automating
system administration task, Zabbix, Nagios or similar monitoring tool,
Subversion or GIThub version control systems, sonarQube, Phabricator, Nexus
server, Jenkins server, or similar tool

- Experienced working
in an environment with hundreds to thousands of Linux systems

- Has personally
invested in Linux at home

- Runs Linux on
home/personal desktop/laptops

- Runs a Linux server
at home

- Media server: video
| music sharing

- Home control

- File and Web server

- Backup server for
home desktops

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certification or experience.
