Job DescriptionAs 340B Account Manager, this position will be responsible for the daily management of assigned 340B administrator(s), its active specialty and retail clients and/or contracted entities. The position requires the ability to interact with a wide variety of Covered Entity personnel, from Senior Management to operational staff. Duties will include m anaging tasks, projects and plans for various 340B covered entities (i.e. disproportionate share hospitals, federally qualified health centers) simultaneously, while meeting designated deadlines and standards. This position also includes extensive interaction with internal departments including Pharmacy & Field Operations, Finance, Specialty, etc. All duties will be performed at the direction of the Sr Manager, Account Management.
-Managing of the day-to-day operational, planning and development aspects of on-going 340B specialty and retail efforts
-Working closely with covered entities staff to address inquiries and remedy issues
- Collaborate with the Implementation team to transition covered entities appropriately to active account management for the specialty and retail programs
-Supporting program rollout to ensure operational efficiency targets
- Set operational objectives and prepare action steps toward achievement of those objectives with management
- Working with DSH/FQHC entity and internal departments on communication plans
- Maintaining and monitoring strong relationship between covered entity contacts and assigned 340B vendor(s)
- Organizing and implementing successful client relations
- Working with management to develop short-and-long term goals that meet established objectives and contributing to the overall goals of the 340B team
- Performing other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications-Minimum of 2+ years of experience in health-related area or must possess transferable skills
Preferred Qualifications-Experience with customer service and account management, preferably in the healthcare field, is desired.
-Strong knowledge of healthcare/hospital environment, 340B Programs, pharmacy benefit management, specialty and/or
-Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
-Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, including demonstrable experience in workflow management systems and/or service delivery
-Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
-Demonstrated problem solving, analysis, and resolution at strategic and functional levels
-Proven customer service orientation with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
-Effectively use reports, and other analytical tools to help target efforts for maximum program results.
-Strong oral and written communications including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
EducationHigh school degree required
