Job DescriptionThe Extreme Store Demand Planner is accountable for managing/shaping demand and all of its components for retail products in our three main “Extreme” Forecast Regions (Water, College, Snowbird) and working collaboratively with Category Management, Category Supply and Demand Planners, Field Leadership, Store Operations, Logistics, and Enterprise Analytics ensuring inventory and service levels are within targets defined by leadership.
Overall responsibility for accurately managing the forecast for all products across a set of Extreme stores so that the business may be appropriately planned based on that forecast. Work collaboratively with vendors and other parts of the business to ensure that key factors that influence demand are understood and reflected in the forecast.
Responsible for managing inventory levels for a set of stores to support demand while meeting inventory turn and service level targets.
KEY DELIVERABLE'S INCLUDE:
-Achieve sales, margin, in-stock and inventory targets.
-Collaborate with Buyers, Planners, and Analysts on item flows, JDA forecasts, seasonal plans and advertising schedule.
-Develop and maintain baseline forecasts using JDA Demand module.
-Develop and maintain inventory and purchase plans using JDA Fulfill and Order Optimization module.
-Develop and maintain promotional, seasonal and event forecasts using Soft Solutions.
-Monitor Forecast accuracy and resolve exceptions with high/low bias with the goal of improvement.
-Adjust forecast to account for market intelligence.
-Works with Category, Planning, Field, and Supply Chain leadership to understand trends, identify new products, new product and promotional strategies and evaluate impacts on demand.
-Monitor inventory and service level performance and resolve exceptions.
-Use input from the analytics team to determine appropriate forecast models and parameter settings.
-Manage/resolve stock-out occurrence.
-Maintain Extreme Stores Supply Chain Project Plan
Required Qualifications -1-2 years of Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access.
-1-2 years of D emand Planning experience.
Preferred Qualifications-Has prior database experience with SQL (preferred)
-Demand planning experience utilizing JDA.
-Strong analytical skills, including the ability to proactively identify critical information needs, accurately interpret complex concepts, and correctly evaluate the impact of decisions/actions on the business.
-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities within a dynamic environment with an appropriate sense of urgency.
-Ability to collaborate and influence across the organization, and with all levels of management.
-Can make sound business decisions independently, but understands when it is necessary to engage others in the process.
-Holds self-accountable for delivering results
-Ability to clearly communicate complex information at the appropriate level of detail based on audience.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.
-Capacity to travel periodically to stores throughout the company.
EducationBachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain Concentration Preferred) or Equivalent Work Experience.
