In order to develop and execute on a forward looking retail pharmacy strategy while also meeting our near-term goals, it is essential for the business to have a deep understanding of our current performance and the ability to adjust in real-time as our market changes. This role sits at the center of this.

The Advisor, Portfolio Optimization and Business Insights sits within the Pharmacy Growth and Product Development Group in the Retail Pharmacy Department and is a vital contributor in understanding the drivers of our retail pharmacy script trends, the performance of script growth initiatives (both owned by Product Development and cross-functional stakeholders), and leveraging this knowledge to partner with Finance and Enterprise Analytics to create the annual retail financial/ script budget and quarterly forecasts, as well as a weekly report detailing the performance of growth initiatives and identifying and explaining variances and ensuring that we meet our annual script growth expectations.

Furthermore, the Advisor will work closely with the Senior Manager, Portfolio Optimization and Business Insights and ultimately the Senior Director, Retail Pharmacy Strategy and Business Insights to bring analytical rigor to and key evaluations of the retail pharmacy portfolio. This work will act as a key component into the overall strategy building and refresh process as well as in making key portfolio adjustments and resource allocations against our strategy.

Select Job responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Finance organization to develop deep understanding of drivers of prescription trends, and coordinate on forward looking expectations (including forecast and annual capital and operating expense budgeting)
- Work collaboratively with Enterprise Analytics to assess and validate script estimates for growth drivers. Support the development and maintenance of weekly performance reporting across the pharmacy growth portfolio, including
explanation and in-depth understanding of variances Frame analytic approaches and lead quantitative analyses that will yield critical answers to the questions at hand

Required Qualifications
3+ years of demonstrated business trends and analysis experience (e.g., data analysis, reporting development, etc.)
2+ year of consulting, analytics, or related experience
2+ years of experience working with data using technical tools (e.g., SQL, Access, etc.)
1+ year(s) of experience assessing and building a business case to identify areas of growth

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree Preferred

Bachelor Degree required and/or equivalent work experience
