Job Description The Oracle Application Developer will be responsible for Technical design, build, test and deployment of Data Warehouse applications.Responsible for database design leveraging constructs such as Join indexes,Statistics, and Partitioned tables for CVS Health. In addition, you will design and develop load processes using SQL& PL/SQL, BTEQ and queries for very large databases (100 TB+) with complex workloads and large transaction volumes.
Additionally, will also utilize ELT based data transformation to apply complex business rules to transform source data, work on identification and optimization of sub-optimal queries & load processes and adoption on of features/best practices introduced in newer versions of Oracle/Teradata.. You will also assist ETL & BI development teams in writing complex SQL in an efficient way leveraging Oracle/Teradata best practices.
Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience with Oracle or combination of Terdata/Oracle experience including the following skills:
- Database Architecture
- Unix shell scripting
- Workload Analysis & Management
- Security Implementation
- Performance monitoring & Management
- Capacity Management
Preferred Qualifications -Healthcare or Retail Industry experience preferred.
Education A Bachelor's Degree required or High School Diploma/GED accompanied by adequate years of work related experience required. Business Overview
