As the Splunk Architect, you will be responsible for designing and administering Splunk for a Fortune 7 company! In this role, you will be developing strategy, crafting architecture for an enterprise Splunk installation, proof-of-concept work, advancing Splunk footprint across enterprise, and cross-collaboration with IT Security teams. In addition, you will work with domain architects, other engineering and operations team members and project team members to fulfill business IT requirements by delivering effective solutions that are supportable, maintainable and cost effective focusing primarily on enterprise logging technologies.
This opportunity can be located in Richardson, TX; Woonsocket, RI; Florham Park, NJ; or Scottsdale, AZ.
Required Qualifications-Minimum 8 years total IT experience which should include 3 years of which was hands-on-experience managing a large distributed Splunk environment
·Minimum of 3 years of experience in multiple operating systems and hardware virtualization technologies, including Unix/Linux & Windows, VMWare
-Splunk 6.x experience required
3+ years of experience Splunk on-boarding with LOG4J/JSON/XML/TCP/UDP , Splunk on-boarding with scripting (BASH/Python) and with Splunk Enterprise Administration – Search Head Clusters-User accounts and distributed client architectures
-3+ years Splunk Distributed / clustered environment experience
-3+ years Client (Customer) requirements gathering experience
-2+ years Splunk Build experience, this would include configurations for both Syslog-NG & Indexer
-Project Management experience
-3+ years supporting a technology (Splunk) with a 24x7 SLA
Preferred Qualifications-3+ years UNIX/AIX/Solaris/Windows Experience with RHEL
-Experience working in a fast paced, large environment with shifting priorities
-Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
-Good verbal and written communication
-Demonstrated experience in leadership position
-Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills
-Good interpersonal and communication (oral, listening and writing) skills are required, especially to non-technical and senior leadership audiences
-Presentation skills to a variety of audiences
-Ability to efficiently multi-task and prioritize competing projects, initiatives and requests
-Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing tasks and resolving issues in order to deliver quality projects on time and within budget -Collaboration skills and ability to communicate all aspects of the requirements, including the creation of formal documentation
Education-Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Programming or other IT related field. High School Diploma/GED accompanied by adequate related work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
