As the US Healthcare System
transitions to a value based payment model, Health Plans are increasingly being

quality measures. Performing well on these measures can result in specific
rewards including, but not limited to, financial bonuses, increased enrollment
through beneficiary preferences and higher levels of auto-enrollment. With its

medication is critical to improving health outcomes and reducing healthcare
costs. As a result, quality measures pertaining to medication adherence and
gaps in care are at the core of the Medicare Star Ratings Quality program.

As the Stars
Innovation Advisor, you will help support
Caremark’s most strategic and complex Medicare Health Plan clients on the
Clinical Stars adherence and medication gaps measures. You will collaborate cross functionally to
drive optimization and innovation by turning high-potential ideas and
opportunities into actionable pilots, testing key value assumptions and
operational ability to implement. You will rapidly iterate on those
pilots and programs, to optimize results and gather critical insights and
learnings from each. The output will be clear recommendations on whether
and how these programs should move to large-scale launches. This group
will focus on the highest-value and highest-priority initiatives within the Med
D portfolio, specifically focusing on new and differentiated ways to achieve
our Stars ratings. The Advisor will provide support to Product Innovation
leadership in the development and execution of strategic tactics

You will be responsible for, and measured against, the following
primary objectives:

  • Innovate: Partner cross functionally to understand additional opportunities for program optimizations and innovation. Develop business cases and identify key assumptions and variables to test using knowledge of Stars programs, as well as best practices across different parts of the organization and more broadly
  • Design and Implement: Develop strategies and support Stars team members to ensure detailed understanding of the goals and objectives of innovation, and collaborate with internal Operational partners, to allocate resources, design, set up, and implement pilots
  • Execute, Measure, Interpret, and Communicate: Own the execution of mini-tests and pilots, measure results and compare against critical assumptions, design and optimize subsequent phases of pilots based on initial learnings, and ultimately develop and communicate the overall strategy for that innovation or program
  • Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate cross-functionally to gather insights, gain subject matter expertise, understand impact to scalability, leverage resources and knowledge across broader teams. Influence other business units on the importance of innovation and optimization and gain buy in to develop and execute.

As a successful Advisor, you will possess the ability to work independently,
to innovate and ideate, and to drive program execution. You will develop a
track record in building consensus and cultivating relationships with internal
and external technical and business staff. You will need to be highly skilled
at written communication, oral communication, and presentation in order to
organize and manage your time. You will be required to have impeccable
attention to detail and excellent social skills. Finally, you should
successfully be able to work cross-functionally to implement new requirements
and creatively solve problems where standard resolutions do not exist.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of advanced-level experience using the Microsoft Office Suite,
specifically with Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Word, and Project.

Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience within product management, strategy, operations or a similar field, within a highly regulated industry.

Must have the ability and flexibility to travel up to 25%.

Bachelor's degree is required; equivalent work experience may substitute
