Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will provide a leading role in mainframe (COBOL/CICS/DB2) development in Member Inquiries/PeopleSafe. This person should be able to work independently and will be responsible for system analysis, design, coding, as well as communicating with business users/partners and other IT teams. While this person will not have a primary responsibility for Java development understanding of Java architecture and coding skills are desirable. This person must provide timely technical support and understand CVS Caremark business requirements, methodologies and quality standards. Must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively present information and respond to questions either one to one or to groups of managers or employees. Excellent written communication skills are required.Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in mainframe development using COBOL, CICS, DB2 and JCL.
- exposure to application development in a Java environment Preferred Qualifications
- experience with developing in Java Education
Bachelors of Computer Science or equivalent. Will accept 1 year of experience for each year college not obtained in addition to required years of experience.Business Overview
