Job DescriptionCome join our home health team as a Benefits Verification Representative. Your responsibilities will include:
- Verifing insurance benefits for commercial and governmental payers - Obtaing required documentation in compliance with governmental and commercial payer’s requirements to ensure reimbursement of services provided to patients - Obtaining insurance authorizations in a timely manner for equipment/services provided - Counseling patients with insurance benefits and financial matters regarding services provided - Keeping abreast of insurance issues and maintains re-authorizations in a timely manner for equipment/services provided - Demonstrating an ability to prioritize, multitask and utilize time efficiently - Demonstrating proficiency with software applications used by the company - Demonstrating the ability to clearly, accurately and concisely document notes in system per company guidelines- Effectively identify and communicate to supervisor when assistance is needed (including, but not limited to system function, training, etc.) - Proficiencing in the knowledge of services offered by the company - Observing legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding patient and company confidentiality (HIPAA) - Understanding and provides exceptional customer service to clients, patients, and payers. - Exhibiting a positive, courteous, respectful and helpful attitude to clients, co-workers, and management team.- Understanding and achieves team and individual goals as determined by supervisors. - Promoting company culture by adhering to all policies and procedures - Adapting to and demonstrates the ability to deal with frequent changes in the work environment - Accepting constructive criticism and makes changes to accommodate the need Is a self starter and takes initiative to learn Required Qualifications- 1+ years of customer service experience in a call center environment - Proficiency with Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications- Experience with insurance verification - Healthcare experience EducationMinimum of High School Diploma or GED Business Overview
