The Advisor, Application Development will participate in a team overseeing the Configuration Management process and the MicroFocus (Formerly HPE)HP Universal Configuration Management Database (UCMDB) enterprise solution.This position reports directly to the Senior Advisor, Application Development/Configuration Management Process Owner. The Advisor responsibilities will include:
Operations and maintenance of HP UCMDB Application and Data FlowProbes Develop and maintains Discovery activities including agents andscanners Develop and maintains integrations to the UCMDB including adapters to HP Asset Manager, HP Service Manager as well as CVS custom integrations. Plans and manages population of the Configuration Management System, including discovery and other data imports. Regular housekeeping of the CMDB, knowledge transfer sessions todata consumers Assist with technical documentation of custom changes to the CMDB


Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of direct work experience in a Configuration Management team with experience in developing and maintaining configuration management tools and supporting configuration functions.
  • General knowledge of operating systems (Windows and UNIX), networking standards and corresponding security systems within an IT centric infrastructure.
  • Scripting in Python/Jython



Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrate
ability and success in managing successful scale implementations of IT
Infrastructure and Service Management software packages leveraging one of more
of the following related toolsets: HP Service Manager (HPSM) HP BSM-OMI (Ops Manager) Data
extracts and formatting via Macros, Visual Studio Tools for Office and VB.NET Strong
analytical, attention-to-detail, and problem solving skills


Education
B.S Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
