Job Description
In this position, you will be responsible for the following:

  • In an application development environment, analyze, design, code complex programs, perform code/design review of the work of project team, and verify testing results to ensure adherence to quality requirements. The programs to be reviewed are JAVA or Websphere Process Server (“WPS “) based. Code, develop and test complex programs using JAVA or WPS technologies using various front end JAVA Frameworks including JSF (Java ServerFaces) ,Apache MyFaces or ICEFaces and javascript .
  • Work closely with teams to provide bench-marked solutions to complex technical project requirements or client needs including technical design, problem resolution, implementation and operational issues. Assist offshore developers with questions/issues, reviewing test cases and performing code reviews.
  • Solve highly technical and complex problems in the areas of JAVA or WPS.
  • Partner with project team, as appropriate, to identify technical requirements and alternatives to accomplish project, while providing accurate estimates for project development and implementation. Assist in establishment of and adherence to technical direction, standards, guidelines and methodology for use in specified technologies in own discipline.
  • Resolve technically complex phases of projects/initiatives and take accountability for technical quality and work-ability of solutions.
  • Transfer knowledge to team members through counseling and consultation.
  • Utilize code management tools to manage source code in a multi-developer environment (Serena Dimensions).


Required Qualifications
5+ years JAVA front end skills JSF (Java ServerFaces, Apache MyFaces, or ICEFaces), Javascript, Spring, JUnit


1+ years DB2/SQL




Preferred Qualifications

Experience with front end Java frameworks and
development; experience with rebates or trade relations applications; experience with Hibernate and/or Informatica helpful


Education

A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems , or closely related technical field and 2 years of experience in leading large scale application development, including 2 years of experience with JAVA application development, design, and testing complex programs; Serena Dimensions or similar version control product; and JAVA build tools like Dimensions, Maven, Tomcat, or Ant. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in lieu of a Master’s degree and 2 years of experience.
