Job Description The Accounting Senior Manager position will report to the Director of PBM Accounting. Responsible for the management and supervision of Medicare Part D accounting group. Manage the month end close responsibilities for Medicare Part D accounting. Includes preparation of month end balance sheet reporting for management review. Reviews and approves analysis and development of balance sheet account reconciliations to the general ledger including all associated entries and accruals. Maintain and update Medicare Part D accounting policies and procedures. Prepare and review schedules for quarterly and annual external audit reviews/audits. Interact with external auditors in managing the PBC list for the Medicare Part D accounting group. Manage the group’s SOX testing responsibilities.
The successful Accounting Sr. Manager will possess the following:
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge and experience with financial systems including general ledger.
- Ability and willingness to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment. Required Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years of accounting and/or analytical experience within a public accounting firm or corporate office environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of management and or supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications - CPA preferred
- Knowledge, experience with accounting systems - SAP preferred
- Knowledge of insurance/statutory accounting preferred but not required.
