Job Description
The Senior Analyst is responsible for assessing small to medium projects for the applicability of enterprise services, and for delivering high quality estimates, design and project deliveries.

The Senior Analyst works on one or more projects at all stages of the system lifecycle (define, design, and build). He/she will serve as an integral partner, guiding application teams to comply with CVS Health road maps & standards and to realize the benefits of services architecture.

- Lead development of service solutions with an emphasis on IBM Datapower/APIC, IIB technology stack
- Own delivery of service-based architecture for assigned projects, providing end-to-end solution and design details
- Provide estimates to Demand Management process, consistently meeting or exceeding estimate quality metrics
- Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation
- Ensure services meet functional requirements(FR) and non-functional performance characteristics (NFR)
- Maintain repository for deliverables,methodologies, and service solution patterns
- Collaborate with project team to provision estimates, develop overallimplementation solution plan, and serve as a lead for bringing projects tofruition
- Drive adherence to enterprise architecturestrategies, principals, standards, policies and procedures
- Provide consultation to application owners,business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range architectureservice solutions to meet business imperatives
- Actively facilitate complex design andtechnical discussions, reconciling differing opinions and drive decision makingprocess
- Recommend solutions and develop business case alternatives which anticipate the future direction of the business, its drivers and technology strategy
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring throughout the project lifecycle
- Proactively identify reuse opportunities
- Articulate the tradeoffs, benefits and risksof all architecture and design solutions
- Understand and ensure compliance with the SDLCproject management governance and IT strategy
- Analyze and lead and/or advise on incidentmanagement swat team activity. Diagnose problems, determine solution optionswith consideration to business impact






Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of IT developing experience including the following:
- 1+ years of overall technical exposure on SOA, Middleware, Messaging, API and Application services.
- 0+ years application development experience with Java, JEE, or .NET frameworks
- 0+ years experience in Data Power and/or IBM Integration Bus (IIB)




Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in API Management
- Experience in multiple technologies in stack
(Data Power, IIB, APIC, Splunk)
- Healthcare experience or big box retail experience
- ITCAM/Splunk experience
- Experience in delivering projects using Agile methodology in addition to waterfall is desirable
- Agile/PM certifications are a PLUS
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems using message queues, TPMs, or other related technologies in a mobile/portal environment
- Experience om data architecture concepts and governance, including acting as a design authority for information and data within projects and programs is critical for this role
- Mastery of design considerations for high volume transaction systems
- Knowledge of Portals/Intranet and mobile computing highly desirable
- Ability to multi-task and rapid context switch between Applications, programs and architecture initiatives
- Ability to assess the impact of architecture changes on the business, application relationships and information flow
- Strong understanding of SDLC - must have participated on many projects through complete lifecycles (requirements, design, development, testing, launch)
- Strong ability to facilitate collaboration among technical team members
- Strong organizational, leadership and consensus building skills; ability to motivate and lead teams in matrix organization
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with all levels
- A strong base of experience in many disciplines of information technology, including operating systems, systems
management and development tools, application program interfaces (APIs), database management systems, development methodologies, transaction processing monitors, messaging software, security, directory services, hardware, telecommunications, interoperability techniques and standards, services monitoring and alerting





Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent (Masters in Computer Science or equivalent preferred)
