Job Description Supervises and develops direct reports ensuring adherence to department guidelines. Facilitates training and ensures proper staffing and coverage of all tasks.
Reviews and performs high level analytics and assists with complex reconciliations for cash/check accounts including follow up with external groups (i.e. banks, processors, carriers) and internal groups (i.e. Loss Prevention, Treasury.) Troubleshoots transaction flow issues and performs root-cause analysis. Responsible for overall accuracy of financial entries.
Supports the development, testing, and implementation of new tools within the department.
Ensures reconciliations are completed in a manner consistent with SOX, audit standards, and per company policy. Complies with Internal and External Audit requests.
Complete monthly budget/forecasts and provide detailed variance explanations for various balance sheet and revenue/expense accounts.
Required Qualifications- 1+ years of management, supervisory, and/or team lead experience
- 2+ years accounting, analytical, and/or budgeting experience
- 2+ years of experience using MS Excel and/or MS AccessPreferred Qualifications- 2+ years of management, supervisory, and/or team lead experience - 3+ years accounting/analytical/budgeting experience - 3+ years of experience using MS Excel and/or MS Access
- Financial institution experience and/or retail experience (preferably CVS)- High level organizational, interpersonal, and time management abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with upper level management and external/internal groups - Strong problem solving skills and ability to perform root-cause analysis and deliver accurate results - Self-Directed EducationVerifiable Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Degrees coming from Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
