Position Summary:
The Government Affairs Director will play a key role in developing CVS Health’s Congressional relationships and building the company’s reputation and enhancing long-term objectives as a health care innovation company through complex advocacy and campaign strategies. In this role, you will have a deep understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes, relationships with members and staff of the House and Senate. A successful candidate will have a track record of working collaboratively in a team environment, the ability to nimbly respond in a fast paced environment while juggling multiple issues and priorities. You will partner closely with the internal Policy teams to align priorities and efforts and maximize resources

In this role, you will have the ability to develop legislative advocacy strategies to support the company’s advocacy/reputation agenda. You will be responsible for identifying, and developing relationships with key Members of Congress, and advancing the company’s public policy goals, coordinating withdraw associations and coalitions and representing the company’s position at external events.

Required Qualifications:
-Minimum of 10 yrs Congressional /lobbying experience
-Knowledge of current health care issues

-Experience in the Federal Government (Legislative and/or Executive Branch)
-Experience devising multifaceted issue campaigns and advancing advocacy strategies to a positive conclusion on behalf of an organization or Member of Congress

Preferred Qualifications:
-Advanced degree preferred

-Bachelors Degree required
