PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency Program

Coram, a service provided by CVS Health, provides vital infusion services and expert support to tens of thousands of Americans each month. Coram is a national provider of specialty home infusion services and specialty pharmacy distribution with more than 85 branch locations across the country. Coram’s nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, and other clinical staff are known in the industry for providing an exceptional level of care to thousands of home and infusion suite IV patients every day, including those with complex therapy needs.

What to Expect:

  • Opportunities to attend and present at regional and national professional meetings
  • Residency pharmacy projects that are both site-specific and nationally focused
  • Preceptorship from leading experts in specialty home infusion and pharmacy practice
  • Learning experiences that focus on a multidisciplinary care coordination approach for patient assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and medication reconciliation

  • Pediatrics
  • Infectious disease
  • Cardiology
  • Transplant
  • Pain/hospice
  • Specialty drugs and disease states

Longitudinal Learning Experiences:

  • Research
  • NUITs (New, Unusual or Investigative Therapies)
  • Coram Clinical Trials
  • Service (staffing)
  • Pharmacy grand rounds
  • Teaching certificate program (Houston and Colorado location only)
  • Journal club

Residency Sites:

  • Wisconsin - 5345 S Moorland Rd, New Berlin, WI 53151 (1 Residents)
  • Colorado - 12450 East Arapahoe Road, Centennial, CO 80112 (1 Resident)
  • Texas - 10611 South Sam Houston Parkway West, Houston, TX 77071 (1 Resident)
  • Georgia- 2140 New Market Park Way # 106, Marietta, GA 30067 (1 Resident)

Application Criteria:

  • License or eligibility for state licensure in program site state within 30 days after start of the residency
  • PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Ability to travel locally to company locations for learning experiences and professional development activities
  • Effective communication skills with a motivated and enthusiastic attitude
  • Enrollment in the ASHP Residency Matching Program

Using the ASHP PhORCAS website, send your completed application to each desired program sites listed above. You will also need to submit a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, current or most recent academic transcripts, and three professional letters of reference. The application deadline is January 5, 2018.
