Applying to CVS Health was the perfect opportunity to integrate my retail experience at the corporate level. My career at CVS Health began when I was in high school and continued through college, during which I received insight into customers’ needs and trends. One month into my internship, I knew CVS Health was the best opportunity to grow professionally due to the team-based environment and interaction with other professionals.
One of the most exciting aspects of working for CVS Health is the various opportunities to grow internally. Each position involves cross functional relationships and exposure to a variety of departments throughout the company. Partnering with coworkers helps develop strong relationships that can lead to personal growth and new opportunities.
CVS Health is continuously evolving, with the ultimate goal of becoming a one stop shop. This mindset creates an exciting and innovative work environment. The company is currently changing the way consumers experience retail stores, through both the recent launch of Beauty IRL stores and the acquisition of Aetna.
Working for a retail company is exciting because you have the ability to influence the customer’s shopping experience. This involves multiple departments working together to reduce customer confusion and bring new innovation to stores. Having previously worked in the stores, this first hand knowledge is incorporated in my day-to-day functions.
CVS Health has an engaging work environment that promotes creative thinking and innovation. Every day is structured around ensuring my projects meet their deadlines. Working with a variety of teams makes each day different than the last and keeps the work place fun and exciting.
The retail environment is constantly changing to conform to new trends and consumer needs. This creates a fast pace work place which is both exciting and fulfilling.
