Specialty Pharmacy Residency Program

The Specialty Pharmacy Residency program provides a unique opportunity to work with a premier specialty pharmacy provider, while gaining an understanding of specialty pharmacy practices. The resident will interact with a multitude of internal areas, including clinical development, performance management and training, pharmacy operations, implementations, analytics and outcomes, marketing and sales, and strategy development. Residents will be knowledgeable, marketable managed care candidates for employment upon completion of the program by gaining significant experience with various internal and external business partners under the specialty organization, with a primary focus in program management and clinical development.

Program Requirements:

  • PharmD candidate from a U.S.-accredited program
  • Illinois licensure (or eligible)
  • Focused interest in managed care pharmacy and specialty pharmacy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to evaluate large data sets
  • Travel for client meetings, training programs, and professional meetings and conferences
  • The application deadline is January 5, 2018
