Position Summary:
The Government Affairs Executive Advisor will play a key role in developing CVS Health’s Congressional relationships and building the company’s reputation and enhancing long-term objectives as a health care innovation company through
complex advocacy and campaign strategies. In the role, you will have a deep understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes, relationships with Members of Congress, in particular in the House of Representatives. A successful candidate will have a track record of working collaboratively in a team environment, the ability to nimbly respond in a fast paced environment while juggling multiple issues, priorities and you will partner closely with the internal Policy teams to align priorities and efforts and maximize resources.

You will have the ability to develop legislative advocacy strategies to support the company’s advocacy/reputation agenda and will be responsible for identifying, and developing relationships with key Members of Congress, coordinating with the Corporate Social Responsibility and Workforce Strategy and Diversity teams to educate policy makers about key company initiatives, and represent the company’s position at external events.



Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of Congressional /lobbying experience.
Experience in the Federal Government (Legislative and/or Executive Branch)
Experience devising multifaceted issue campaigns and advancing advocacy strategies to a positive conclusion on
behalf of an organization or member of Congress
Up to 20% travel



Preferred Qualifications:
JD/MPH or similar preferred
Healthcare experience


Education:
Bachelors Degree required
