Job Description
As a Registered Dietitian at our Enteral Nutrition Center, you will work with internal and external customers; including patients, caregivers, case managers, outpatient dietitians, home care dietitians and vendor representatives. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of patient home nutrition therapy. Further, you will play an instrumental role in improving the quality of life for patients in need!

As an Enteral Dietitian you will:
Work from 6:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, in our Centennial CO office
Perform outbound calls to follow up with patients and caregivers regarding patient condition and status – clarify patient problems, determine urgency, respond with appropriate action to resolve.
Consult with field sales to understand the patient situation and provide nutrition options to present to the physician.
Review patient documentation – look for Medicare qualifying criteria and provide recommendations to the field sales representatives.
Calculate the patient’s order based on clinical notes and chart – review documents, determine order quantity and method of administration.
Answer incoming calls from other departments across the Enteral Nutrition Center to resolve patient issues (billing problems, refill, etc.), de-escalate the situation and work with the correct person/department to put an action in place for resolution.
Additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas.
Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advance computer skills in order to interact with key partners and patients.

Non-Clinical Responsibilities:
Process the Patient Information – Creating the patient accounts through the Coram System
Verifying the Patient Benefits – Utilizing the Insurance Web Portals
Obtain Authorization Information – Working with the Insurance Companies to request an authorization
Process Patient Monthly Refill Order – Contacting the patient to create their order each month
Confirm Delivery with Patient - Contacting the patient to make sure they received their items ordered and resolve any concerns/issues
Process Patient Discharge – Work with the patient to pick up their pump or answer any additional questions regarding
their leftover formula or supplies

Required Qualifications
* Current registration by the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association is required
* One to three years clinical experience / clinical internship
* This dietitian will work in our Centennial CO office - must live in Centennial CO area

Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid Requirements
* Knowledge of Payer Types
* Knowledge of Formula Conversions

Bachelor’s degree in Food/Nutrition or Dietetics is required.
