Job Description CVS is seeking a Senior Analyst - Systems Administrator mainly focusing on UNIX Administrator to support an IBM AIX / Red Hat Linux /Solaris Server infrastructure and be responsible for building, operating,maintaining, and supporting the overall architecture for each platform.
Responsibilities of the Senior Analyst - Systems Administrator:
-Working ticket queues
-Arranging outages with application teams
-Handling system upgrades
-Resolving priority 1 incidents
Required Qualifications-5+ years of UNIX experience -3+ years HACMP experience
-3+ years of patching Redhat or AIX experience
-5+ years of scripting experience
-5+ years of hardware experience IBM and Redhat platforms
-5+ years of troubleshooting experience
Preferred Qualifications-Certification in AIX, Redhat Linux and or Solaris administration.
-Experience with HACMP, Sun Clustering, GPFS
-VMWare and SAN/NAS storage knowledge is a plus.
-Knowledge of the SOX, PCI, PII, and HIPPA security standards is desired.
-In-depth knowledge of AIX, and a strong knowledge of Linux and Solaris.
-Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client server environments.
-In-depth hardware configuration knowledge.
-Shell programming experience.
-Demonstrated initiative, customer orientation and team work experience.
-Ability to multi-task, work independently and problem solve. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people.
-Troubleshooting experience and the ability to resolve complex AIX, Linux, and Solaris problems.
EducationA Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of total experience in which at least 6 years must be specialized in administering AIX / Linux / Solaris Systems; additional directly related experience can substitute for a degree.
