Heart At Work is a set of behaviors that brings our CVS Health culture to life. These behaviors unify our enterprise and reflect how we work with each other and our customers. By referring family or friends to open positions within our organization, you are helping us to fulfill our purpose of “Brining our heart to every moment of your health”. Whether you are a Pharmacist, Nurse Practitioner, IT Engineer, Distribution Center Associate, Pharmacy Technician, corporate colleague, or from any other discipline across the company, everyone you meet can become a colleague referral.

If your referral is hired, you may qualify for a Heart at Work recognition moment or a cash award. Referral awards are generally paid as a standard Heart At Work Recognition moment of 10,000 recognition points. Occasionally, a business group will run a special referral initiative replacing the standard Heart At Work award with a cash award. These initiatives will be on position by position basis to support challenging hiring needs.

Once you have identified a job that you think it a good fit, go to the CVS Health or Aetna LinkedIn pages and see who you are connected with. With more than 300,000 colleagues, you will likely know at least one person if not many! Here are a few quick tips on how to ask for a referral on LinkedIn, and soon, you’ll be on your way to turning your LinkedIn connections into your dream job.

  • State in the subject line the purpose of your request.
  • Make sure your message is thoughtful, concise, and well-written.
  • Remind your connection how you know each other.
  • Let the person know the job title and requisition number you are interested in.
  • Briefly state why you feel you would be a good fit for the job and for CVS Health.
  • Make sure your LinkedIn profile is complete and up-to-date and attach your resume for their convenience.
