Job Description
The operations coordinator/router is an essential part of the Logistic/Supply Chain team who is
responsible for: routing, customer delivery schedules, analyzing planned vs. actual deliveries/labor hours, managing OTD reporting/data files/investigations, backhaul program integrating with routing, dispatching drivers, assisting supervisors with all dispatching functions as needed, departmental reports, working with leadership for continuous improvements based on data.


Required Qualifications
Accurately compile, calculate, and record all necessary information from host computer and
shipping records.
Coordinate driver’s routes according to store requests, geographic considerations and in
compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Prepares driver scheduling and updates daily schedule.
Ensures available hours report is accurate for DOT compliance
Maintain computerized routing environments, by updating delivery time window pickups,
redeliveries and all appropriate data
Utilize computer routing system to assist routing orders, pickups, and redeliveries and
backhauls.
·Routes new stores/special deliveries; communicate information to customer service and drivers.
Releases routes to warehouse for batching. ·
Verifies customers on routes and cube information
Properly calculate and project trailer and carrier requirements in order to meet store
deliveries in a timely and cost-efficient manner
Analyze data to effectively modify dispatch schedule to meet store personnel shipping
issues and request
Communicate clearly with supervisor, store personnel, centralized traffic/store services and common
contract carriers in a timely and effective manner
Correctly read maps, locating highways and store locations, in order to plan proper routes for store
deliveries.
Perform other duties as assigned



Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Associates/Bachelor’s degree or 5 years industry experience.

Experience in routing/logistics/supply chain operations.
Knowledgeable with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (HOS/CSA, etc)
Proficient in the use of computer software applications, specifically routing applications, WMS, on-board computers, dispatching applications, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, and data base programs.
Dependable, with excellent attendance record.
Excellent verbal communication and good written communication skills.
