Job Description
As the Director of Pricing Strategy &Technology, you will play a key role within the Front Store Retail Pricing& Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible managing ourfront store pricing application and competitive data needs to support our frontstore, digital and omnichannel pricing strategies.

Working in close collaboration with our softwareprovider and internal IT partners, you will support the base functionality aswell as ensure that any changes or enhancements to our strategy will be fully integrated and supported by our pricing application.

Additionally, a key responsibility will be to leverage the advanced capabilities and insights from the pricing application to drivestrategy adjustments and innovations that further optimize sales and margin.

As a member of the Front Store Pricing Team, youwill join a talented group of Pricing Associates, Analysts and Managers,focused on continuously evolving our pricing strategy, leveraging innovative tools and robust data to optimize our retail pricing and help support the growth of our overall business.

Additional responsibilities of the Director of Pricing Strategy & Technology include:

Manage our competitive shop budget, suppliers andoverall data needs; identify potential new sources of competitive data and opportunities to optimize our spend.

Leverage the new pricing application to monitor and develop reporting on competitive pricing trends and price change history.

Develop forward-thinking pricing strategies and applications olutions to advance the overall business and support initiatives including omnichannel pricing, new markets, unique store clusters, personalization, and more.

Develop knowledge of customer shopping behaviors,customer segmentation, category strategies, and key business drivers as inputs to our pricing strategy.

Develop deep understanding of category financial levers including sales, markdowns, funding, and profitability as inputs to our pricing strategy.

Continually evaluate competitors and marketplace dynamics to assess the impact on CVS business and develop related pricing strategy recommendations.

Track key business metrics (e.g. Sales, share,value perception, margin, customer attributes, etc.) to continually evaluate and refine our pricing strategies.

Anticipate marketplace events and develop what-if scenarios to address changing business dynamics.

Lead and/or contribute to internal pricingdepartment and/or cross-functional projects that may include process improvement, technology development, marketing communications, store execution,etc.

Required Qualifications
6+ years of experience in project leadership, business analysis, and strategy development in a retail, consulting, or consumer-packaged goods environment.

3+ years of hands-on experience of data analysis, using any of the quantitative tools (SQL, SAS, R, python etc.) with strong knowledge of extracting and manipulating data.

2+ years of analytic team management/leadership experience, with demonstrated growth and responsibility over time.

Preferred Qualifications
Outstanding strategic thinking and analytical skills.

Demonstrated ability to synthesize facts and insights into concrete, actionable recommendations.

Strong project leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives that have significant financial impact.

Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive tasks to completion within deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in a fast paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics or Quantitative Economics required, Master’s degree a plus
