Job Description
As the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor on our clinical operation steam you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the clinical support staff within the pharmacy team completes their assignments to meet internal and external customer needs. The clinical support team assists the pharmacist and communicates directly with patients over the telephone, scheduling medication deliveries, tracking lab data, billing, and prior authorization, amongst other duties.
You will utilize your clinical knowledge and leadership skills to provide our patients with the smooth service and delivery of their medication to their homes. Make a difference by bringing your personal touch and clinical experiences that will support our patient’s one on one care.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop and recommends changes as necessary to ensure effective and efficient communication among infusion team.
*Executes plans of action to achieve clinical department goals and oversee implementation and evaluation of new and existing processes.
* Respond to customer inquiries and resolves patient complaints.(Customer is internal and external).
* Responsible for hiring, coaching, conducting performance appraisals,and disciplining.
* Oversee the interactions of clinical support specialist by observing and obtaining feedback from patients and other team members.
* Monitor team activities providing direction, guidance and timely coaching and feedback to subordinate staff.
* Function as a clinical support specialist in accordance with all state regulations in the absence of staff to include any and all duties normally assigned to a clinical support specialist.
* Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.
*Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills in order to interact with key partners and patients.
* Additional licensure may be required in multi state service areas.
