POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Enterprise Services Advisor you will be leading implementation of Enterprise service strategy and for creating projects utilizing services oriented architecture.

The Enterprise Service Technical Lead is responsible for assessing projects for the applicability of enterprise services, applying enterprise thinking to drive value beyond the current project and for delivering high quality estimates, design and project deliveries.

The Lead works on one or more projects at all stages of the system lifecycle (define, design, and build). He/she will serve as an integral partner, guiding application teams to align with CVS Health roadmaps & standards and to realize the benefits of services architecture.

Maintaining a collaborative atmosphere, and striving to achieve high levels of individual organizational performance, is key to your role. In this role, you will be required to form strategic partnerships with key internal partners and subject matter authorities to achieve business results. The contributions you will make will promote employee engagement and position CVS Health for long term growth in the daring Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) marketplace

As part of the IT Department, you are part of a creative and bold initiative aimed at transforming health care and pharmacy incorporating new information technologies and channels. We are looking for someone that has drive and can work cohesively with their colleague


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Lead development of service solutions with an emphasis on IBM Datapower/APIC, IIB technology stack

- Own delivery of service-based architecture for assigned projects, providing end-to-end solution and design details

- Provide estimates to Demand Management process, consistently meeting or exceeding estimate quality metrics

- Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation

- Ensure services meet functional requirements (FR)and non-functional performance characteristics (NFR)

- Maintain repository for deliverables,methodologies, and service solution patterns

- Collaborate with Project Managers and technical directors to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve as a lead for bringing projects to fruition

- Provide technical leadership in developing vision, strategy, architecture and overall design for assigned domain and for solutions

- Drive adherence to enterprise architecture strategies, principals, standards, policies and procedures

- Provide consultation to application owners,business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range architecture service solutions to meet business imperatives

- Leads teams, technical projects or programs,and have overall leadership responsibility for project architecture and design

- Actively facilitate complex design and technical discussions, reconciling differing opinions and drive decision-making process

- Understand industry trends, emerging technologies and standards in order to evolve the CVS Standards and Roadmap

- Recommend solutions and develop business case alternatives which anticipate the future direction of the business, its drivers and technology strategy

- Review and ensure that architectural designs are consistent, maintainable, flexible, and cost effective

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring throughout the project lifecycle

- Proactively identify reuse opportunities

- Articulate the trade-offs, benefits and risks of all architecture and design solutions

- Understand and ensure compliance with the SDLC project management governance and IT strategy

- Analyze and lead and/or advise on incident management swat team activity. Diagnose problems, determine solution options with consideration to business impact



Required Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS
1. 5+ years of IT development experience including the following:

2. 3+ years of overall technical exposure on SOA, Middleware, Messaging, API and Application services

3. 2+ years of Data Power and/or IBM Integration Bus (IIB) experience

4. 1+ years of API Management experience

5. 1+ years experience in application development experience with Java, JEE, or .NET frameworks



Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED SKILLS:
1. Ability to multi-task and rapid context switch between Applications, programs and architecture initiatives

2. Ability to assess the impact of architecture changes on the business, application relationships and information flow

3. Strong understanding of SDLC - must have participated on many projects through complete lifecycles (requirements,design, development, testing, launch)

4. Strong ability to facilitate collaboration among senior technical team members and senior business leaders

5. Strong organizational, leadership and consensus building skills; ability to motivate and lead teams in matrix organization

6. A strong base of experience in many disciplines of information technology, including operating systems, systems management and development tools, application program interfaces (APIs), database management systems, development methodologies, transaction processing monitors, messaging software, security, directory services, hardware, telecommunications, interoperability technique and standards, services monitoring and alerting

7. Experience in multiple technologies in stack (Data Power, IIB, APIC, Splunk) is a plus

8. Healthcare experience or big box retail experience is a significant plus and will be given utmost consideration

9. Experience in delivering projects using Agile methodology in addition to waterfall is desirable

10. Experience with large-scale distributed systems using message queues, TPMs, or other related technologies in a mobile/portal environment

11. Experience om data architecture concepts and governance, including acting as a design authority for information and data within projects and programs is essential for this role

12. Mastery of design considerations for high volume transaction systems

13. Knowledge of Portals/Intranet and mobile computing highly desirable



Education

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Masters in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
