After College Programs

In this program, you’ll begin as an actuarial analyst and work to pass Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams to become a Fellow of SOA. While rotating through major business areas, you will develop the skills required to become a risk-assessing leader at Aetna, a CVS Health company.

What to expect:

  • A 6-year rotational program consisting of four 18-month assignments
  • Career and leadership development opportunities, networking events, and support from a mentor
  • Dedicated paid study hours during the work week and a raise for each SOA exam that you pass

Our data analytics and engineering divisions support the enterprise by embedding deep analytical insights into key decision processes and focusing on CVS Health’s biggest, most complex problems. Our team makes a difference by analyzing data to produce solutions that positively impact our members’ health and well-being.

What to expect:

  • Use advanced analytics tools, modeling, and machine learning to generate insights by leveraging data within a cutting-edge, petabyte-scale Hadoop environment
  • Work to drive change in areas such as health care fraud detection and prevention, member and customer experience, pharmacy operations, retail operations, experience, sales, and marketing analytics, and behavior change

The Digital Leadership Program (DLP) offers a two year training opportunity for passionate, motivated people who want to join a high energy and growing team to make a difference in the lives of customers and who want to be on the ground floor of digital innovation that aims to reinvent what a health care company can be.

This program will develop your finance skills, business acumen, and leadership competencies through varied foundational finance roles to create a pipeline of diverse high-potential talent and future leaders for our organization.

What to expect:

  • A 3-year rotational program consisting of three 12-month assignments
  • Professional development, coaching and mentoring, networking, and opportunities for leadership
  • Build a strong foundation in finance and accounting within a Fortune 50 company

  • Thirty-nine-month (3.25 years) program that allows colleagues to gain experience in three different business areas over the course of three 13-month rotations.

Our program accelerates your professional development with the goal of providing you with the skills necessary to be a leader in our IT functional areas. You will develop the skills and competencies needed to help shape our company’s technological future.

What to expect:

  • A 2-year rotational program consisting of four 6-month assignments
  • Specialized training sessions to improve your skills in data visualization, digital transformation, public speaking, and more
  • You will gain experience in functional areas such as cyber security, digital transformation, enterprise architecture, technology delivery, and IT strategy

Our dynamic, three-year rotational program designed to develop strategic marketers into future leaders. This Accelerated development program, provides experience with compelling and challenging projects, career coaching, networking, and exposure to senior leadership.

What to expect:

  • A three-year rotational program consisting of three 1-year rotations
  • Each rotation is packed with on-the-job experience across our key marketing pillars (e.g., content, media, creative design, community engagement, etc.)
  • The program will help you hone your marketing skills while providing you exposure to our enterprise strategy, culture, and way of working, establishing a strong foundation to build a rewarding and impactful career

Since 1924, Aetna’s Sales Development Program, Group School, has trained and nurtured young professionals starting their sales career in healthcare. New hires in our rigorous training curriculum learn our broad variety of products and the art of selling. Rookies test and apply their knowledge in real-life scenarios with feedback from sales leadership. With over 100 classes of alumni, and a nearly 100 year history, Group School’s hands-on learning approach has a history of success in transforming young college graduates into seasoned sales professionals.

What to expect:

  • A year-long sales development program including a comprehensive training program before starting your field role
  • Active training, coaching, and mentorship through the program, enterprise, and your field team
  • Top-tier sales and product training that will help ensure your success in the field

This rotational program will provide you the opportunity to develop a complete view of the organization and the ability to articulate our strategic direction, while supplying you with the fundamental knowledge to become an underwriter. You will determine accurate and competitive rates and fees for new and renewal business, based on analytical and financial insights.

What to expect:

  • A 4.5-year rotational program consisting of three 18-month assignments
  • Career and leadership development opportunities, networking events, and support from a mentor
  • You will learn the skills and develop the competencies that are fundamental to becoming a successful leader

This training program will teach you how to provide valuable, ongoing financial insights for our customers and determine accurate and competitive rates and fees for new and renewal business. You will learn how to negotiate rates that meet our customers’ financial needs, while delivering high-quality products.

What to expect:

  • A 5-week program comprised of formal classroom sessions and on-the-job training
  • You’ll receive mentor support and career development opportunities in a collaborative, ever-changing work environment
  • After completing the training program, you will work as an underwriter in one of our many business segments
