Living a happy, healthy and full life is all Angela Palmier, Caremark Project Manager, wants for her mother, JoAnne Odom. At 86-years-young, JoAnne is up for the challenge – living her best life thanks to the support system her caregiver, Angela, her insurance provider and the local pharmacy team has created for her.

“I lost my dad to a heart attack, and I thought I was going to lose my mom as well,” says CVS Caremark project manager Angela Palmier about the widow-maker heart attack her mom experienced a few years back.

Thankfully, today her 86-year-old mom, JoAnne, is living a vibrant life in Columbia, Illinois, with a packed social calendar filled with book club meetings, bunco games, charity work and fun times with her five children and 28 grandchildren.

Angela credits CVS Caremark for its role keeping her mom’s 16 different lifesaving medications affordable. And she commends her mom’s pharmacy team for helping her monitor those medications. “They’re as critical to her care team as her family, her surgeons and her cardiologists,” Angela says.
