Understanding our Customers
Every day, people interact with CVS Health in thousands of different ways. And we can capture the data from these interactions and use it to make a direct impact in their lives. We use it to optimize ExtraCare, the largest and most advanced retail rewards program. We use it to build bridges across data sets to help with medication adherence. And we use it to build tools and models to help create brand new services.
Improving Patient Health
One specific example of data making a difference is in Specialty Medical Benefit Management. These patients have rare diseases and high cost medications. By looking deep into the data, we were able to learn more about who uses these kinds of plans and when they need medication, and gave them better access to treatments while helping plan administrators lower their costs. We worked together to streamline processes, connect different areas of our company, and ultimately deliver a solution that makes tough, expensive treatments easier and more affordable.
