Your Future Network

Through your time in the General Management Talent Programs, you will receive constant opportunities to strengthen a lifelong network that you will be able to leverage at any point in your career.

Many of our alumni stay at CVS Health, however, the General Management Talent Program network extends far beyond CVS Health. We focus on developing peer and executive mentoring available to GMDPs and GMCIPs. The GM Programs are responsible for outlining the structure, curriculum, and timeline for each mentoring experience available to GMDPs and to corporate interns during their 10 weeks with us over the summer.

Either way, it is a shared experience that will allow you to connect with other alumni and open doors for you throughout your career.

Mentorship

As a GMDP Associate, you will be provided multiple 12-month mentoring relationships between you and a senior leader within CVS Health. This program is personalized to drive open-ended conversations with mentors around professional and personal growth.

While all General Management Program associates receive mentors, through your daily interactions with leaders, you may also pick up informal mentors as you build key relationships with your teams and others you frequently collaborate with.

Jonathan Goldstein, GMDP Class of 2018

“I have been incredibly grateful for my mentor’s support and I feel I can always reach out to her with any questions or advice I may need. Additionally, my mentor and I have had such great development conversations that have helped me significantly in understanding the value I hope to have at CVS Health/Aetna.”

Our Culture is “Diverse” “Innovative” “Challenging” “Supportive”

“To best understand and serve our diverse member populations, the GMDP needs to be a reflection and celebration of that diversity. When GMDPs feel comfortable and encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work every day, not only does productivity increase, but stronger relationships develop, which create a more cohesive and tightknit program. Personally, I’ve had many insightful and fulfilling conversations regarding identity, cultural background, and unconscious bias with numerous members of the GMDP, and I truly believe these conversations elevated our relationship above simple work colleagues to genuine friendship.”

Dia Bhatti, GMDP Class of 2020

Community Service and Volunteering

One of the core values of the GMTP is to engage in meaningful volunteer activities to give back to our communities. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, which limited our ability to engage in person, we found ways to volunteer virtually. Every summer, our internship program provides ample opportunities to engage in community-oriented volunteer opportunities. The General Management Development Program’s annual Spring Trip, class offsite, and other key events also feature a hallmark volunteer outing.
