Why did you apply at CVS Health?
Prior my tenor at CVS Health, I spent 5 years building my career with a New England retail chain that unfortunately when out-of-business. So when searching for a company, I was focused on finding an organization that offered two key essentials, more career opportunities along with a greater sense of work stability. CVS Health obviously delivered on my expectations and since being hired in 1997 I have held over 8 key roles for the company and had the privilege of being part of the company’s amazing growth over the past 20 years.

What is the most exciting part of working for CVS Health?
Early in my career I was certainly excited about the career paths that CVS Health had to offer and I still feel that way. But my reason for continuing my career at CVS Health has certainly shifted. Our company is driven by its purpose of “Helping People on a Path to Better Health” and I personally experienced how our company has brought that vision to life with the care of our colleagues and the services we provide. The most excited part of working at CVS Health, is that I am part of a team that can make a difference in people’s life every day! That is very rewarding!

What do you tell your friends and family about working at CVS Health?
I first love to educate my friends and family about the inspiring work that I am part of that is helping improve the health of our customers. Since health care is a national focus, I am motivated to highlight how I am part of a company that is making a difference in that space. I also like to share the amazing growth of the company since I joined in 1997 and particularly my personal journey. My friends/family, especially those that are just starting their careers, are always asking about the career opportunities here at CVS Heath. My response to their curiosity is usually the same. Endless opportunities.

What is unique or exciting about working in retail?
It’s an exciting time to work in one of our Retail stores! As our company continues to lead the industry and innovate in the healthcare space, our stores are well positioned as the HUB in which we deliver all of our health services locally. With over 9,000 stores, we are able to reach more customers locally than ever before. Being part of something that can change the landscape of healthcare if really inspiring!

Describe your typical day at work at CVS Health.
The thing I like about working at CVS Health, whether it was at our retail stores and or our corporate offices, are the colleagues and customers I have had a chance to connect with. With such a diverse group of colleagues to work with and customers to serve, every day is a learning experience. And since I am motivated to learn, CVS Health is the perfect place for me. I really don’t have a typically day at work at CVS Health but I love that. I am always working on new projects, connecting with new colleagues and learning from others on how to best do my job. It’s a really great environment to grow and learn.

Why should someone consider working in retail?
If you consider working in one of our over 9,000 retail stores, you will have the opportunity not only to drive our business and grow your career, but take on a critical role to help bring CVS Health’s purpose of “Helping people on their path to better health”. Every day, you will have an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life, whether it’s a peer or a customer that is looking for help, your role working in retail can be personally rewarding.

What are your career goals?
I hope to continue my growth here at CVS Health. I have been an individual contributor as well as a leader of people. I want to actively help CVS Health grow as well as helping others grow in their career also. I love leading teams and hopefully I have more opportunities to lead larger teams in the future.

What does “lead with heart” mean to you?
What leading with your heart means to me is connecting my personal vision and values with CVS Health’s in order to help others. It means to be genuine and really care about helping customers and supporting the colleagues I work with to help make a difference.

What accomplishment are you most proud of since you have joined CVS Health?
I am really proud of the woman I have become both on a personal and professional level, and CVS has been a part of that
growth.

How do you demonstrate your commitment to the future of health care in your work?
I am really starting to connect to how and what people are shopping for. A great example, we had a mother who came in
upset and emotionally exhausted. She just needed a simple solution to a skin care issue her daughter was having. I took
the extra time to listen to her concerns and was able to give her a solution she was happy with.

What/who inspires you?
I'm inspired by my mother. She is someone who is resilient and always pushes me to trust my gut and do the best in
everything that I do.

What is the greatest advice someone has ever given you?
Don't speak negatively about yourself, because your soul can't tell the difference. I love this quote because not only
does it allow you to be kinder to yourself, it also enables you to see the beauty in everyone else.

What is one important skill you think every person should have?
Be able to receive constructive criticism. Being open to new perspectives is a great way to grow both personally and
professionally.

Tell us about your colleagues.
My group of fellow Sales Coordinators help keep me motivated whenever I feel overwhelmed. They keep me grounded and that
can make the difference between a good and bad day.

Do you have special talent you'd like to share with us?
My Superpower is my Empathy. It's what I use to connect with people.

What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time?
I love flying/piloting. There are few things that can beat the feeling a soaring high above in the clouds.
